Watford v Tottenham
- both teams to score @1,746 Pinnacle
Short preview: Watford is coming in this match after a huge win away at Bournemouth (0-3) and in general very solid form, as they won 16 of possible 18 points in the last 5 matches! The only team that didn’t lose against them was Sheffield at home (1-1). Except them, they were better than Manchester United (2-0), Aston Villa (3-0), Wolverhampton (2-1) and already mentioned Bournemouth (0-3). The “new Tottenham” started surprisingly well under Mourinho, but at the moment they simply have too many important players injured so I don’t expect them completely dominate on this match against Watford. Spurs have recently signed Gedson Martins who will boost their midfield, but he will definitely need some time to adapt to Premier League. Without Sissoko, Ndombele, Kane, Lloris, and Davies, Mourinho has plenty of concerns but with Son and Lucas, Lamela playing better and better and Lo Celso stepping up, I think Spurs still have plenty to offer, especially offensively. Watford with Pearson on the bench has won 6 of 7 matches and scored 11 goals and conceded only 2 in the last 5 matches. Therefore I believe that the atmosphere in this club is “in the sky” and they are going into this match with one clear goal – to beat Tottenham. Honestly, I am leaning way more to the home side in this match than the away, but I suggest taking both teams to score as the safest option.
