Valencia v Atalanta
- both teams to score & over 2,5 goals @1,735 Pinnacle
Short preview: the second leg in Valencia will be played behind the closed doors due to the coronavirus, but I will repeat one of the picks from the first encounter. Valencia will probably try to do everything to surprise Italians, but 4-1 is definitely a result that won’t be easy to overcome, especially regarding the superior offensive form of Atalanta lately. They have won the last 5 matches with a goal difference of 21-9. Due to the virus, they played only one match after the first leg, and are definitely coming to Valencia with fresh legs. The only player Atalanta will miss tonight is defender Toloi, who will be most likely replaced by Djimsiti or even midfielder de Roon who is familiar with this position. The coach of Los Che is still without suspended Paulista, and with Mangala and Garay being out due to injuries, that means that he might be forced to use a midfielder in the defensive line as well – Coquelin is a serious candidate to start in pair with Diakhaby for Valencia. I expect Valencia to start this match with high pressure, as they simply have to make the difference at the beginning. If they succeed with scoring a goal or two in first half, then maybe they will have some chances for “remontada” but once again, looking at the offensive strength of Atalanta… I can not see Spaniards “surviving” this match without conceding a goal or two.
